Naypyidaw/ (QNA)/ 28 August 2013/ HE Qatar's Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Ali bin Fahad Al-Hajri met here today with Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Dr. Maung Maung Thein. During the meeting, they discussed ways to develop economic relations and expand prospects of cooperation in the financial and technical fields between the State of Qatar and Myanmar.

HE the Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs also met with Chairperson of Myanmar Parliament's Committee for Rule of Law and Peace and Stability Aung San Suu Kyi and reviewed with her bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in various fields. Meanwhile, HE met with Chairman of the Myanmar Parliament International Relations Committee Hla Myint Oo.

Talks during the meeting dealt with ways to support and strengthen the relations between the two countries, especially in the field of parliamentary affairs. The meetings were attended by HE Qatar's Non-Resident Ambassador to Myanmar Jabor bin Ali Al-Dousari.
